Sisarina
Wonder Woman
Sisarina is sassy, smart and sophisticated. Part animated superhero, part trailblazer, she embodies the personal style and spirit of her founder and project director, Melanie Spring.
A known ballet-enthusiast (rumor has it that her name is a hybrid of ballerina and sister!), Sisarina is graceful and serene in her demeanor. Supportive, yet focused, she guides her talented staff in their provision of extraordinary creative and strategic marketing services.
Melanie Spring AKA 'Boss Lady'
Principal & Project Director
As the child of small business owners, an entrepreneurial spirit runs in Melanie's blood. She has a passion for helping others that was taken to a higher level when she started Sisarina and was able to share her talents & knowledge with other business owners. She began in 2001 by opening e-Spring Works, a web design company based in the Finger Lakes region of New York. This morphed into Sisarina in 2006 when she wanted to offer more to her clients than just web services. In 2009, she saw the potential to help businesses in the greater Washington DC area and started growing Sisarina into what it has become today.
Melanie's extroverted personality and love for meeting new people has spilled over into her business life. Setting up networking events of all sorts that create a fun, interesting and friendly environment is the best part of her job. Who wouldn't love getting to know their neighbors after work without feeling the need to swap business cards?!
When she’s not chasing down clients for website content, Melanie chases finish lines through a new-found passion for running. She and her dog, Bailey, can be seen on trails around Bethesda, MD or enjoying a quiet afternoon on a park bench reading.

Teresa Thomas AKA 'The Mama'
Project Administrator
With a background in administering all aspects of churches, children and her home, Teresa found herself right at home in the chaos of Sisarina. Teresa’s role at Sisarina involves assisting with the odds and ends of projects and generally helping things to run more smoothly. From mailing letters to screening possible employees and vendors, her hats are many.
As mother of three boys, wife of a pastor and teacher of preschoolers, Teresa’s shepherding skills are finely honed. When not mothering her boys and the staff of Sisarina or administering projects, she enjoys many hobbies including knitting, spinning, painting and reading.

Starting a business takes focus, which Lauree experiences every day working on her life and career coaching business, Simply Leap. Liz Glomb
Events Intern
Liz comes to Sisarina from a very long background in the sport of rowing. After first getting involved with rowing during her freshman year of high school, she continued on into college, and then moved on to coaching. After 4 years of collegiate coaching, Liz brings to Sisarina a strong desire to learn everything that the company has to offer.
Liz holds a degree in Economics and a minor in Communications from the University of Connecticut. If you can’t find her sitting in a boat in the middle of the river teaching people how to row, you should look for her running trails, reading a book, or searching DC for the perfect shot with her camera.

Nicole Mott
Events Intern
Fresh out of college, Nicole is eager and excited to learn about the Marketing Industry. She is a natural planner at heart and loves meeting new people, so being able to plan events for Sisarina is a perfect fit. She has been getting a head start with her events planning career by being her older sister's Maid of Honor in her wedding next summer. With one surprise party under her belt and an Engagement Party to come, she is ready for more planning!
Nicole graduated at the end of May, with a Bachelor of Science in Busieness Administration from Bucknell University and a minor in Women's & Gender Studies. Her mom started her own publishing company 25 years ago, so she has had a good example of successful entrepurial business women her whole life. Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Nicole was eager to get back to the D.C. metro area after living in central Pennsylvania. Moving back home, Nicole is eager to meet new people in the area; and what better way to meet more people than to have an internship planning social events for Sisarina!

Bailey
Security Director
With a background in being super cute and cuddly, Bailey has been deemed the unofficial mascot of Sisarina. As head of security, Bailey’s role at Sisarina involves coordinating all security efforts ensuring that every visitor to HQ has passed their security screening. When Melanie and Teresa are out of the office, Bailey holds down the fort to make sure that the office remains safe from any potential threats. He has also taken on the role as the office receptionist, making sure that everyone is welcomed with a bark and a tail wag. Instead of signing into a guest book, all visitors are required to give him a scratch in order to gain proper entrance.
When he’s not on duty, Bailey can be found running trails or relaxing with his human Melanie.
