Manifest That Shit

Manifest That Shit

If you don't, someone else will.

The new year has started. 2017! The snow swirls outside Sisarina’s office windows. Griffin is snoozing in his office bed as he enjoys the peace of the office before our Crew gets in. I love being in the office before everyone so I can get my meditation in, start the coffee, and prepare my to-do lists for the day. HQ is cozy and warm at our Capitol Hill location, but we’re outgrowing our 650 sq ft offices. We started renovating the second floor of our building for more office and meeting space now that we have 6 full-time people on our team.

We’ve seen steady revenue growth over the last year since we changed our business model to focus on our strengths. The planning and goal-setting from the last quarter of that year brought us just what we asked for. New corporate clients are coordinating with my Executive Assistant to fly me to their offices. They need their teams inspired and know I’m the one for the job. We’re updating brands, cultures, and messages for corporate clients ready to take their companies further. Our Brands That Rock community is growing faster than we expected and making connections for the entrepreneurs who jump into the conversation.

Our clients have found us through conferences I have keynoted, the community we have built at Brands That Rock, and the Approachable Badass podcast we started in 2016. I am thrilled that we are attracting exactly what our brand is putting out there. Our brand IS what everyone else is saying about us. YAY!

I sit here holding with my coffee mug steaming as I smell the sweet caffeine of a Monday morning. My sticky-note to-do lists surround me and my laptop is ready for my fast fingers to start writing. The new year awaits. I turn to the falling snow and smile. This is the life I wanted. This is the life I envisioned. I am filled with joy.

This is a snippet of my vision for Sisarina a year from now. YOUR turn.

Years ago I found an article on Inc.com about Zingerman’s vision for their farmers market. They wrote it in a narrative form describing everything they saw, smelled, felt, along with their numbers. It inspired me to start creating a true vision for what I wanted for Sisarina. I’ve written it numerous times over the years - 5 years out, 3 years out, 1 year from now. It’s morphed and changed over the years as my business has changed, but so much of it remains the same. It also includes our revenue goals, my personal income goals, our giving goals, and our team goals. But write it in a narrative form is what changed everything for me.

When you look at your life, your business, your job, your team, your income - in the future - what do you see? WRITE THAT DOWN.

Then get granular and talk about where you are sitting, what you’re doing, and why it really matters to you. What brings you joy? What gives you a sense of satisfaction?

Then take out all of the maybe’s, if’s, but’s, cant’s and insecurities. Your life, your business/job, your income are all up to you. Dream bigger, show up in the life you actually want, push yourself AND your team - because no one else is going to do it for you.

Make it your prerogative to print out the My Vision questions and sit down with a pen to map out your vision. with a sheet of paper. We’ve even made an easy download for you to take it with you on your holiday travels.

Dream. Imagine. Create. Get clear. Manifest that shit.

It’s YOUR life.
